One might speculate that it could be the first teaser related to the currently-rumored OnePlus 5 smartphone, but thats likely not the case as the wallpaper in question is already accessible to OnePlus 3T users.

That leads us to believe that we might get to see a new color option for the OnePlus 3T instead. What adds more weight to this theory is a recent tweet from Android Police managing editor David Ruddock where-in he says OnePlus could announce something "as Black as Midnight." OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei also replied to the tweet with a GIF, effectively hinting that might well be the case.
